Understanding how a rating is produced does not make the rating predictive, and reading this desk does not improve a reader's chance of a winning bet. The desk states three limits on its own subject and does not soften them: a figure describes runs that are over, two figures from different publishers cannot be compared number by number, and the noise inside one competitor's own record is larger than the gap between competitors in a single race.
